Why it's a snowman
The usual name for this game is hangman, and the drawing is a gallows. This page draws a snowman. Same six misses: three snowballs, a face, arms, then a hat.
Easy is short words and medium is longer ones. Hard includes phrases, so a blank can be a space between words.
